I had this random creature pop into my head one day and I had to illustrate it.

Character Design Challenge

There is a page on Facebook that I follow, called the Character Design Challenge. Each month, they give a theme to create a character or piece of art around. 

The month of October's theme was Yokai and Kami. After some research, I chose to paint a spirit fox, or kitsune, that acts as a messenger for the Japanese kami of prosperity, rice, and tea, and protector of foxes, Inari.

The month of November's theme was Fox Adventurer. Meet brave little Fox and his best friend, Bunny. Together, they adventure near and far.

Bunny Food Series

At the start of 2021, I began a bunny-themed food art series. I had never drawn food before, but I had so much fun with these! I especially enjoyed incorporating the bunny motif into each one.

Plantanimal Series

Plants that are also animals, what could be cuter? A local succulent shop asked if I could create some sort of succulent/plant themed art and this was the series that I created.

Storybook style series

After so many highly detailed digital paintings, I decided to try out a simplified art style reminiscent of a storybook.

For the month of October 2020, I worked hard at producing one digital painting a day inspired by a word prompt. I would create each one before bed. These are some of the ones I came up with.

"Glacier" - The Glacier Bear is a subspecies of the black bear 

"Cozy" - What is cozier than being all wrapped up in your favorite
warm, fuzzy blanket by the fire with a hot drink and cookies?

"Jungle" - I really wanted to paint this cute tiger that would
compliment the greens of the jungle

simple doodle of the things that surround me when I am
